レトラクション

レトラクション[retraction]

$f:X \to Y$を写像とする.
このとき,写像\[r:Y \to X\]において,\[r \circ f =id_{X}\]を満たすものを, $f$ のレトラクション[retraction]という.

レトラクションは左逆写像[left inverse map]ともいう.

恒等写像*は全単射である.従って, $f$ がレトラクションを有すれば, $f$ は単射であり,レトラクションは全射となる.

なお,左逆写像に対して,右逆写像*という概念もある.
